Too much USA focus now
This used to be my favourite podcast, bar none. The last few months I’ve dialled back on my listening. John McManus used to be a very occasional guest, with the odd podcast being focused on the American experience during the war. But now, it seems they other episode features a specific USA focus. And although he’s an accomplished historian, I just can’t get on with John’s presentation. I also think American Second World War experiences are oversaturated in popular culture, and I previously loved the global (or British) perspective. It’s obvious they’re focused on monetising this podcast, and thus feel the need to Americanise it to appeal to more listeners across the pond and increase revenue that way. It’s such a shame. Thanks for the journey lads, it’s been a good one.
