I loved the podcast, it’s the most engaging podcast I have ever listened to. The content and the quality of production is 11 out of 10!

I am a subscriber to Wondery. I have been very impressed with the podcasts I have listened to so far. This story is NO exception!! It’s brilliant! The host and narrator keeps the audience engaged and his pace is perfect. I could not wait to listen to all the episodes. The story is shocking and...Read full review »

The moment I started this podcast I understood where this was going. The narration, the scenes, the dialogues are impeccable. I quite impressed and shocked after the final scene.

I love this podcast. I’ve listened to it more than four times. I like it in the background. It’s so interesting and a nice break from endless murders yet still full of passion and plenty of dodgy behaviour.

There is an interesting story about the excesses of “Founders” such as Adam Neumann (the subject of this podcast) somewhere within the discussion of this podcast, but this show is lighter on details than I would like. This show focuses on the superficial things while ignoring the more insidious...Read full review »

It’s a great story, the content is great, but each episode is listed at about 30 minutes. I am listening ad-free. The first 5 minutes or so is a weird intro that touches on what will be in the episode, then the episode starts at about the 5 minute mark. Then it is 20 minutes of fleshing out...Read full review »

Meh
Nothing but ads. And the host sounds like Casey Kasem.
Bearly44 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/17/22
The production and narration on this are perfect. The format is not. After you take out the ads, intros, theme music and credits, episodes are like 15 minutes long.

Having listened to companion podcast for Foundations, I was excited to follow along with the Wecrashed podcast after each episode, however this is a real disappointment. The guests are just loosely related to the telling of the story and hadn’t even watched the episodes they were there to...Read full review »

Season 2 episode 3…as a reporter aren’t it supposed to keep you’re biased out. Kept referencing Trump and your feelings on it even though Trump has nothing to do with this podcast.
bebetterdobetter40 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/01/22
Show itself is enjoyable, however the advertisements ruin most the fun. Seems like they are attempting a record for the most ads ever put into an episode.
sweetpeppadew via Apple Podcasts · Netherlands · 03/31/22
The episode where he implies it’s misogyny that adam is “going to Coachella” and Elizabeth Holmes is going to prison is obnoxious. Especially because the second before she Lied to her investors and he didn’t. Hence legality. Also not for nothing she was behind diagnosing diseases and lying to the...Read full review »

It’s the commercials that put a wrench in this companion piece and the Directors Cut, how many times can we hear about blue chip art investment????
REV**** via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/26/22
While wonderfully produced, the reporting lacks depth, reading almost like a teenage drama. Interviews are highly edited and cut extremely short. This is a very surface level retelling. I was able to listen free as an audible member (in the audible app). I would be sorely disappointed had I...Read full review »

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, compliments to the producers, show runners, and everyone else involved.

Only just got into this but the director’s cut seems tedious. 10 minutes in and still waffling? I like Wondery and the way things are told but wondering if because this is a recut if the original is sharper?
BinxyBeaut via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/21/22
not a fan of this ‘’director cut”

I love Business Wars and this was great with so many details. Looking forward to the new show with Jared Leto on this story.

I love business wars, so this was an obvious love for me. Thank you David Brown for always delivering fascinating and detailed content.

The downfall of We Work is a fascinating story, but it was so poorly told, I couldn’t pay attention. I generally love Wondery podcasts but this one was a miss for me.
meghanelizabethmaguire via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/16/22
Sometimes I just want to know what happened without a dozen drawn out super detailed episodes. This worked, with the benefit of a professional broadcaster.

Very little substance here, and seems factory made, The narrator has a condescending and grating nature. It's sort of like a cliff notes version of the stories we already know. Adam Neumann was a fascinating CEO, but you'd never know it by listening to this.Read full review »

This podcast makes it so easy to state that the story of We Work and Adam Newman is a playbook of what not to do as a business. But it does more, because it’s easy to understand the big picture after it was taken: this story enables all entrepreneurs to soul searching and be honest with...Read full review »

Great podcast…loved the reference to yoga babble. This is what happens when a narc runs a company and thinks he can ‘elevate consciousness’. Out of control ego.

I’m a true crime nut but love Wondery so I tried this one out (also thanks to Things I Bought and Liked on Instagram sharing it). It was just as interesting as any true crime story and helped see another side of a Ponzi scheme. Instead of just the narcissism and greed of Madoff, this showed how...Read full review »

We are the generation that shows the end result, without the steps involved to get there. I’ve been a purveyor of failure and success. The “fake it until you make it” mindset only gets people so far. Money is great but HOW you get the money and WHAT you do with it is the true success...or the...Read full review »

This story needs to be a mini series. Enjoyed the commentary of Scott

Well produced podcast and very enjoyable to listen to. Looking forward to more by David Brown. Masa San should get most of the blame for enabling Adam and his over inflated ego and purse.

I don’t understand why this podcast was made because the Foundering podcast made on the WeWork story was so many times better, including the narrator . Story is interesting but slow at times. Narrator tends to overdo it with his inflections.

As always, this podcast did not disappoint. Have enjoyed all of the Wondery podcasts thus far. Very interesting subject. Whoever produces the theme songs does a great job!!

I lasted until the 2nd episode before leaving. A podcast about odious characters, presented in a smug and pompous style. The point is don’t believe the hype. But the VCs did. It crashed. End of story.

Lidia Gribanova via Apple Podcasts · Russia · 09/03/20
Like all wondery podcasts, it has an excessive amount of ads. However it is worse with this podcast. The episodes are short and ads are as long as the episodes. I wish wondery would consider listener quality instead of money

Thank you so much for the depth insight into WeWork. I only knew bits and pieces about it, so got my eyes opened up to it when I binged-listened to it. Thank you for sharing Scott Galloway’s take on it. I am reminded again that if something appears to be too good to be true, then it’s most likely...Read full review »

I normally don’t mind ads but this is a 30 minute podcast that has 10 minutes of useless ads. It definitely seems that revenue was the motivator for the podcast rather than the pursuit of journalism. There are other WeWork podcasts that do a much better job investigating and interviewing.

I love , love , love this podcast! Please hurry and get more episodes out. This so rocks!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

The Audio production is great and they keep the story flowing.

Lots of fluff: ads, long intros, unnecessary narrator recaps. Could have been done in half the time. Also way over produced. Narrator is reading from a script with a weird radio voice (he sounds kind of normal in the interview at the end). Odd background sound effects: elevator bells dinging,...Read full review »
