World of Rage Episode 4: Journey with the Memory

    Episode 4
Last Time on A World of Rage:
The Pack were on an Umbral Quest, following the trail of a great spirit through the forest. The group had to work their way across a ravine that the great spirit cleared in a single bound. Initially planning to fell a mighty oak to span the gap, Speaks with Wind brokered a bargain to spread the oak spirit’s acorns throughout the world, but some quick thinking by TJ pointed out that just taking a few branches would suffice to make a bridge. Taking the branches, the pack successfully crossed the ravine, but they each took a few acorns as thanks for its help, promising to uphold their bargain, which earned them the Oak Spirit’s blessing. The pack followed the trail to its end, finding the Great Boar impatiently waiting for them, with an urgent quest that it demanded they undertake to gain Boar’s patronage: To find the lost Sword of Brazentusk, and with that mighty artifact, restore its lost children, the Grondr. The pack agreed to the quest and to the demand from Boar to do nothing to harm his children, and so Boar became their Pack’s Patron. The Pack began making preparations for their quest . . .

Very solid and descriptive

Full disclosure: I have never played any of the werewolf games.

The episode Black Furies Tribe details an entirely new clan of werewolves to use in your game. The host delves very deeply into not only the material presented in the book, but also how they fit in the larger world. This guy really knows his stuff!

The only thing which bothered me a bit was the unexpected feminist angle the show took. I’m just not really into gender politics, and this episode has a lot of that. It’s not bad, but it just felt strange listening to a dude talk about feminism and the like.

That one thing aside, a very solid episode all around.

Look for something better

Uhhg what overly woke bigots!
OF COURSE Pentex always approves abortion for their employees!
And the constant harping on authors from 20-30 years ago for not meeting current social mores? So silly.
And in the Wild West Companion?
SO funny to hear you talk about the pseudo-Christian garou! “They need to be educated” “wayward people” “need to be brought back into the fold or contained” “wyrm tainted or almost” What a bunch of cultural imperialists. You would have them re-educated away from their culture? What garbage secularist bias. Carlisle Indian School anyone? You sound just like the worst of the 19th century “white mans burden” imperialists. Yeesh. Who are you to say what is and isn’t acceptable religion?

Not for me

Focuses on the wrong things. Informative sure, but dry and kinda boring. Besides, the cheap shots at the other werewolf podcast is off putting and kinda lame
