More of the same cbc bias
As a concerned Albertan who is tired of left leaning media in this country and the vilification if anyone or any organization that does not prescribe to leftist talking points like climate change, more taxes, and anti-western sentiment...I tuned in to give this program a chance for two reasons: 1) My tax dollars have funded this “free” podcast. 2) I thought the show would actually highlight the concerns of Albertans and western Canadians...How naive of me. Example: The episode titled “What Canada should know about Alberta” was a completely misleading title. Instead it consisted of 3 masochistic “westerners” (including the host) blaming Alberta for its woes, presenting nothing but the anecdotal to support their weak arguments while quickly arguing for more taxation (PST) as the solution... and one Brian Jean, the only realist of the group who was actually trying to highlight Albertan’s concerns. Mr. Jean would present a concern such as the rising popularity of separation, or the self imposed landlocking of our oil and gas and instead buying dictator oil only to be cut short by either the host or Chris Turner as they jumped in to highlight their point of view. They never rebutted Jean’s arguments or concerns but rather just dismissed them. Hardly a fair and balanced discussion and nowhere near actually helping Canadians understand Alberta’s current issues.

This week's topic was on Alberta’s announcement on Trans issues and water shortages. They twisted all of...Read full review »

I am enjoying this podcast, especially after spending around 5 years in the West. Mr Clark was one of the best orators, in the House of Commons. Such a salient point, that we really don’t know each other, as Canadians . I was fortunate to have lived in many provinces, sure gives one a different...Read full review »

Typical agenda-driven, PC, fact free, left leaning CBC drivel that doesn’t do anything to explain western feelings of alienation. Listened to the first 7 episodes in hopes of an informed forum for Western points of view. First was a surprisingly respectful exchange between 2 well spoken...Read full review »
