“What every hip hop head dreams of. Getting to sit down for 15 hours and learn what makes their idols tick. I wouldn’t think I’d want to sit through 10-12, one-hour long interviews with the same person but I loved every one. Of the wealth offered throughout both seasons I’ll say the most impactful is that this podcast makes me listen to music differently. I’m not at all a musical or artistic or even very “creative” person, but after hearing in detail about the development and process and humanity and accumulated life experience that goes into creating these legendary works from the artists themselves in their own words, I was GIFTED a truly “whole new appreciation” for them and hip hop as a whole. Thank you Open Mic Eagle, thank you Prince Paul, thank you El-P.”
