It's been a while Whiskey lovers. Due to a family bereavement, work commitments, Covid-19 and other distractions it has taken us a while for some of us to get together. This, long overdue, podcast features Alex Carr, and myself Shaun Savage, mulling over a Monkey Shoulder whiskey whilst connected over Google Hangouts.Stay safe people.

This episode we go for the highly awarded Glenfiddich 12 Signature Single Malt. Hosted by Alex and Natalie Carr and myself. We were trying out some software to allow us to record episodes in different locations. The podcast may sound a little weird in parts, with echo creeping in. Hopefully, it's not too distracting.Drop us a mail at [email protected].

Famous Grouse was our weapon of choice on this occasion. A Scotch whisky for a change.Contributors tonight were Alex, Michael and Natalie, and some other drunks at the end of the hotel bar.

Recorded in Belfast with another Irish whiskey - Sexton with a rather unusually shaped bottle. There are some extras in the episode, Brian, Jo, Kevin and Pat, but no Alex. Phil and Chloe are also here. Brian is not a whiskey drinker, but on this night we gave him a few to try, and now he is not adverse to a snifter.Apologies for the noisy background. I wasn't going to publish this one because it is so loud, but there were a few laughs along the way.

A slightly tipsy episode this week, as we had cocktails to celebrate Alex's birthday before recording. This episode is a tasting of The Pogues Irish Whiskey. A sweet, malty, smooth whiskey with some interesting flavours and warmth.

A new podcast and new theme music. The song Whiskey in the Jar was recorded by Charlie Savage. This is not to be confused by the traditional song of the same name. I hope you like it.The Whiskey in this episode was Slane Irish Whiskey. Apologies for the mistakes throughout. We recorded this on an impromptu evening, so the content is raw and on the fly. We are planning to improve the content in the coming episodes.

There are four of us today, though one remains almost anonymous. We try Lagavulin, a whisky that we had heard good things about. Did we like it? Wait and see.

Some friends get together and chat about drinking whiskeys of differing styles. We are no experts, we are just looking for the drink we like the most. Please forgive the roughness of the first episode. It should get better. Honest!
