Emphasizes sensationalism over journalism
The first few episodes were exciting but it quickly devolved into a “how can this go viral?” adventure. The creators initially acknowledge the relationships that could affect independence but do nothing to address it. The results are edgy takes with dramatic music hitting every time someone says “well this one guy told me this”. There are few pressing questions on what happened and what real evidence can back up a claim. Even the investigators can only go off of what they think they could have found if deals and settlements were not made. Too much of this relies on weak claims from the people who have a lot to gain from mixing publicity with propaganda.
