You will not want to stop listening
This is an amazing podcast. I’m usually not a true crime fan but I’m very interested in Civil Rights history so the premise intrigued me. My curiosity however turned into a voracious need to keep listening as the story unfolded. Although the conclusion of the investigation is relatively straight forward there are so many nuances and layers to this story that the hosts masterfully lay out for the listener. As a native Alabamian and someone who has ties to the Selma area the discussion of racial inequality and the south’s continued inability to reconcile its past was poignant. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough (and I’m not just saying this because I’m one of Chip Brantley’s former students 😁).

“Violence is as American as apple pie.” A chilling start to the series. Looking forward to the next episode.

Thanks for telling OUR stories! I would like to hear more Black Voices narrating but this is a great beginning!
