“What an excellent piece of investigative journalism. Thank you.
Having just returned from an ADL civil rights trip to the south, my sense of justice and the importance of equality has been further ignited from this podcast. We were fortunate enough to meet with Joanne Bland and we heard Reverend Warnock (of Ebenezer Baptist speak and visited the EJI Lynching Memorial among other museums, memorials. Some has changed but when you see Selma, Montgomery and Birmingham the idea of reparations for slavery and systemic hate, deprivation & repression is so violent that after generations of it- this country has a debt to pay. This podcast forces whites to see the ugliness of what they’ve perpetrated upon black people in the south. As the producers of this podcast know, there is a reckoning to face. Next up I’d suggest working with Bryan Stevenson on allowing your listeners to meet victims of lynchings through their descendants and those of their killers. With the rise of our President and his ugly rhetoric, there’s no time to waste! Voter rights and human rights are at stake.
Thank you again for an excellent podcast.”
