Emily, you’ve made me feel sane, understood, and like I’ll be ok. Even if I’m crying along relating, I feel safe. I got here from your episode on your brothers podcast. The comments you received about your voice being soothing are accurate. I feel calm. Thank you.

I randomly came across Emily’s podcast while looking for anything that could help me not feel so alone. Ironically I found this podcast, “Why do you think you’ve got no friends”. Wasn’t sure what it was all about, but to my surprise was exactly what I needed at this time and place. Emily really...Read full review »

While I enjoy the way this podcast is written and the important topics it covers, claiming to have experienced ‘it all’ without any acknowledgement of privilege makes this podcast feel self indulgent and catered to the well off.

I have to admit, the title of the podcast alone had me raising an eyebrow in curiosity & was fully prepared to bear witness to a trainwreck. But I never knew how much I needed this raw honesty, delightfully lucid self-awareness perspective on Emily’s path to healing. I related far more than I...Read full review »

It’s taken me years to even begin to understand myself, my destructive behaviors. Driven by trauma, need for approval and acting to someone else’s script. Then to be able to forgive and laugh at myself. Nice to hear the female version of my younger self doing the same. Only thing I can offer is...Read full review »

For all those who hit rock bottom during/after lockdown, here is a podcast that empathises with what you have been through. It is a sad story, but we know it has a happy ending because Emily Laing is here to tell the tale in her beautiful mellow voice.

Brilliantly open and honest, I’ve/we’ve all needed this, thank you. Also Emily’s voice is so incredibly soothing, when hitting raw subjects it really dose ease the subject matter.
