This podcast is so digestible, great storytelling/formatting, and I learned so much in its short 6 episodes. I so wish there were more!

I really love this podcast, and am disappointed that there isn’t more to listen to! It’s a very interesting and engaging way to learn about food, culture, immigration, and how cultures blend to make something beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️please please make more!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What an awesome fun, insightful, podcast on such a familiar topic ! We all do it but this was a new way to see it from the potluck dinner to the hidden junk food wrappers ... Bravo to Blue Apron and Gimlet !

I generally like gimlet media podcast but there something about it that's a bit off. Can't place my finger on it. Anyway, a great podcast I recommend listening to it if you're interested in food.Read full review »

I loved this podcast, listened to all five episodes in a row. Will there be more? Hope so! A great one for foodies, I loved the picky eater episode and the potluck one too, oh and the climate change one. They are all great. Thanks from New Zealand

There are enough food podcasts and not enough why these things happen. As MA in sustainable communities I study why these things happen and I’m enticed by this show!

I loved this podcast! It was such a unique take on food and cooking and culture. I am super bummed out they have stopped making episodes. Bring it back!!

I was hoping for more facts and history, and less people just guessing at things. In the first episode we got 'millenial cultural consultants' talking about kale, a guy who thinks his bumperstickers started the trend, some guy from the east coast talking about kale in the midwest (and...Read full review »

Glad I listened to this podcast. Interesting material, I especially like the episode about picky eaters, since I have a toddler I've been reading up on the subject and found it to be true that the more you try/introduce foods, the more you (in this case my son) come to like them.Read full review »

Listened to the whole first season in a day, a nice time and great content to listen to with my brother. He's a super picky eater, and during dinner the day that we listened to the picky eater ep together he brought up the episode, and proceeded to try some new foods.Read full review »

I heard the ad for this while listening to Heavyweight and thought “hmm, I’ll give it a try but doubt it’s what it says it is.” You know so many good podcasts are about dieting, or start taking a a turn toward dieting. This is good, this is bad. Eat this, don’t eat that. This will kill you, this...Read full review »

I really like this podcast. I mostly try to *not* think about food (because I’m a picky eater and food discussions are stressful), but this is lighthearted, and interesting. I’ll definitely keep listening

I loved the episode on the climate change diet, food and climate are directly related, and these conversations are so important on all platforms. Thank you for covering this topic, I hope that you continue to cover climate change on this podcast! This episode brought me to writing a review. Food...Read full review »

As always, Gimlet doesn’t disappoint. I am very interested in the food industry from a historical and cultural perspective, and it’s hard to find podcasts about food outside of the realm of cooking. This podcast covers food trends, history, and cultural significance, and is exactly what I hoped...Read full review »

A touch of psychology, a pinch of economics, all wrapped in the culture of food. I applaud you gimlet creative. And blue apron. This is excellent.

This is currently my favorite food podcast, of the very many I listen to. Great story telling, angles, and topic selection. Although it's sponsered by Blue Apron, it doesn't feel overly influenced. The climate change diet episode was terrific.Read full review »

I love the content but even when I’m listening to a food podcast, I still never want to hear people chewing in my ears. Not cool.

This show helps me to keep from going crazy as I turn raw steel into parts for the many oil rigs here in Alberta. Thank you gimlet

PLEASE TURN DOWN THE VOLUME OF THE MOUTH NOISES WHEN PEOPLE ARE EATING. I literally want to jab my ears after hearing the lip smacking. It’s like nails on a chalk board. Especially bad in the climate change episode.

I love this podcast...and I’m only three episodes in. It’s more about the culture and history of food, than actually cooking. A story of humans and food. 😊 can’t wait for the next episode!!
