Cheer up lads, it’s not that bad

Not listened for a while but what a shock I got. This used to be a decent podcast, professionally recorded with some excellent insight. Now it isn't. Such a shame but it seems to have been taken over by a gaggle of morons who record it in pub toilets. Get back to what you were good at.Read full review »

After their Boxing Day win over Blackburn, these guys were actually suggesting that they’ve overrated the Championship! 😅😅😅😅. Sunderland fans are unbelievable! Didn’t you drop straight through the Championship after getting knocked out of the Premiership??? We’ll see whose overrated by the end of...Read full review »

Beginning to wonder whether the post game pods are worth it. If I want to hear drunks shouting over each other, I can go to the pub. The purpose of these pods seems to be for the presenters to make each other laugh, rather than to tell US about the match and/or entertain us. The regular pods,...Read full review »

Great pod guys.

I’ve just listened to the 3rd February pod which is episode 750. It was hard work. Remembering this is the week where Sunderland AFC have had more change than ever (JD, Lee Johnson sacking, Bolton thrashing, Roy Keane rumours etc etc)…..However It feels very difficult to listen to. There’s no...Read full review »

Gone way down hill since Rory left.

There a few SAFC podcasts doing the rounds and I’ve listened to them all plenty over the years. Nothing personal against the WMS hosts but I just find them boring to listen to and rather monotone. I switch off too easily. They’ve been around a long time and have a good following which is great...Read full review »

As a regular listener to podcasts and a huge Sunderland fan. I was exited when I came across this podcast. I am only hoping Gareth is not a regular on the show. Painful to listen to. His tone, constant sighs and clueless dribble (Scientology reference 🤦🏻‍♂️) are a few things I couldn’t bare. I...Read full review »

Great Show!

But this is not “just a podcast”. Must listen to for SAFC fans that aren’t local. I’ve been enjoying these from the states for a couple years. It’s honest, funny and insightful on how the local fans feel about the club on and off the pitch. Keep up the good work lads.

Huge fan of the WMS podcast team who keep a mad keen Australian fan (who’s surname is incidentally Sunderland) always in the know with how the lads are travelling. Thank you for producing the winning combination of a great depth of analysis and light hearted banter that make this a great...Read full review »

Cracking Pod! Been a fan for quite a while but these have been particularly testing times of late on and off the pitch... these guys have saved my sanity in an insane world. Don’t know what I’d have done during this pandemic without listening to these funny, informed like minded Sunderland...Read full review »

Listen to the show religiously here in Australia as I lived in Sunderland and become a big fan. Can you do a podcast based on the best away atmospheres in the PL (when Sunderland was in) would love your thoughts

Just finished watching STID and thought I’d start listening to Sunderland Pods. I think you guys were pretty unfair on the current owners. They look like they are trying their best, and remember you guys are Tier 3 now. Just remember what the previous owners have put you guys through, it wasn’t...Read full review »

Being a Sunderland fan in a city where less than 1% of the people follow (real) football AND know anything about the black cats would be very lonely and dull without Stephen and Gareth. - Constant NYC listener.

As an exile who hasn’t been home for years I rely on this for both balanced appraisals of everything SAFC. Keep it up, lads. FTM

This is the best of all the SAFC podcasts and also the longest running. Stephen and Gareth really do a great job, I would also recommend this podcast to away fans looking to get an honest preview and current state of SAFC with some good humour.

Class podcast listened for years. Live shows are also brilliant. Gareth is different. Good crack lads.

The true independent podcast for Sunderland Football club, not a club mouthpiece, room for different views, highly recommended.

Anyone who supports Sunderland AFC or just loves football in general should subscribe to Wisemen Say and Roker Report! If you don’t, do you even like football?

Out of the SAFC related podcasts this is the one I wait for for. Really like the way the lads speak, good crack generally and well informed.

This is perfect for all SAFC fans who want to listen to well informed chat by passionate fellow fans. Knowledgeable but also with humour. Keep up the good work. I love the weekly catch up about all things SAFC. Thank you!

Wise Men Say consitently delivers excellent insight into all things SAFC. No matter the quality of performance on the pitch, Stephen, Gareth, Rory, Craig and more always deliever excellent opinions and analysis. As a Sunderland fan in the USA it really helps me stay connected with the club I love!
