S2E6: A few of our favorite things
Listen now
Description
For the end of 2020, we asked our listeners to name a few of their favorite things - favorite things about being a developmental scientist, that is. Our unscientific analysis of themes includes: Developmental scientists can translate our work into other fields, it’s very applicable to our parent friends, that the methods we use are creative and complex, and that working with kids is a blast (they say the darndest things). Jess and Sara discuss the submissions we received, and talk about a few of our own favorite things.  Links from this episode: Twitter thread with everyone’s favorite things is HERE.  The Popular Science book on child development that Jess mentioned: http://alisongopnik.com/TheScientistInTheCrib.htm Paper Sara mentioned by Dr. Colleen Ganley: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2016.01181/full Connect with the podcast on twitter @within_between, or email us letters about developmental science at [email protected].
