Really! As a mom of 2 boys and a girl, as a teacher, as a partner to a man. Simply and plainly VITAL information for any human who interacts with other humans.

Just listened to the last episode where 90% of it is about the host/guest’s biased opinion on what’s happening in the Middle East. What a waste of time.

As a parent and mental health professional who works with children I generally find the ideas presented in this podcast to be current and spot on. However the last episode on competitiveness references all ‘he’ and ‘his’. I know the question involved a boy, but it became very irritating. C’mon,...Read full review »

When I work up wide awake and saw that it was only 11:44pm, there was nothing else to do but stay up. I “stumbled” upon this podcast and found it helpful for a few reasons. First, unity in parenting is important. Addressing behavior appropriately is equally important (redeeming v. punishing)....Read full review »

Interesting to hear a little of the brain science behind certain behaviors. Love that they take listener questions and really do a deep dive for that person, but also make it relatable to all listeners. Looking forward to hearing more.

For me, this podcast has been enormously helpful on a number of topics. As I raise three boys under 10 years old, the information and insights have been practical and helpful to this chapter of life for me. Please continue to keep up the important work. Thank you!

Not worth your time. There doesn’t seem to be much science backing this up. Primarily the same parenting advice from a generation ago: boys will be boys, put them in time out, etc.

Not sure how episode 131 is going to inform or help parents in any way. I’m a mom who was looking for something interesting and refreshing to listen to. I thought the topic was suiting for me as a mother of a 9 year old doing virtual learning but their advice was just redundant. I don’t care to...Read full review »

I am currently reading Michael Gurion’s book, “The Wonder of Boys”. I heard him on a podcast previously and loved his perspective on raising our boys—was super happy to find this podcast. It’s refreshing to listen to someone that is an expert in his area and does not seem to be as extreme as...Read full review »

I’m elated to see this podcast still going. It’s educational, entertaining, and something I like to refer to when I need some perspective on a new situation. Excellent resource suggestions-people, books, etc.

I really enjoyed listening to a few episodes until I heard the one on spanking. Shocked and disappointed in the promotion of healthy “spanking” and how to do it right by surprising the child. I will search for more parenting podcasts that treat and view children as worthy of basic respect.

Outstanding. I have learned so much, from every episode. With two boys, and today’s societal challenges, I find this podcast more than helpful- it offers a glimmer of hope for the future generations of young men. Thank you Tim and Michael for all you do.

I enjoyed this podcast with some skepticism until I reached an episode that is very clearly denouncing feminism as being anti-male. If you think this, you clearly have no idea what feminism stands for. It’s not anti-male, it’s anti-toxic masculinity. It’s not asking a lot. In the same couple...Read full review »

As a scientist, I certainly appreciate the evidence-based intention behind this podcast, and the effort it takes to break research down in a way that can be discussed on a podcast. However, I listened to several episodes where the hosts seem to minimize experiences and perspectives of maligned...Read full review »

I was interest in this podcast until you started talking about removing gluten from a child’s diet. This is dangerous advice. The very first episode I listed to told me: there is no one right way and there was a need and a place for both me and my spouse’s way of parenting. It was a huge relief! This is a tonic - it’s a must listen! We need to help boys develop and not let them get lost in a word that doesn’t want boys to be “men”. These two men share reason and insite in to the hard wiring of our boys brains. Thank you thank you

I’ve only listened to a couple episodes so far, and I’m really liking their approach to the topics they bring up. Nothing about this podcast has seemed misogynistic to me, but I’ll update my review if I hear something that is.

Had this recommended to me by a friend. But started in on the “traditional masculinity” episode and was very disappointed. I really wanted to like this. I want a science based approach to understanding my kid but they just kill me with the “moms parent this way and dads this way”. Just not my experience as a mom or as a daughter.
