Kind of out of touch
I’ve followed Nancy for years, and really enjoyed her early podcasts! But overtime I’ve come to realize her world and life are just… out of touch. She comes from a very strong place of privilege and struggles with how to relate to certain members of her audience. I think if you fall on the avoid difficult topics because you don’t like “cancel culture”, don’t “fear” (by that I mean covid, yep that’s the boat she was clearly in during the pandemic), have a token person of color on your podcast because you chose to be silent last summer but want to show you do know and love people of color, give up a career to be a homemaker, homeschool children, be a Dave Ramsey thumping type person, then this is a great podcast for you! I’ve just honestly outgrown Nancy and want to always give it another chance and am often reminded why I stopped being an avid listener. It’s a shame because she has a great speaking voice but alas 🤷‍♀️

More reviews of Work and Play with Nancy Ray
I’ve been a Nancy Ray follower since a friend used her as her wedding photographer years ago. Nancy has always had a gift for sharing her intentional lifestyle choices in a way that is both inspirational and relatable. I’m three episodes in and looking forward to what’s next!

Nancy Ray is an encouragement to me. She works hard and is intentional about her pursuits and rest. As someone who identifies with wanting to do it all, this mindset reminder is so good. Looking forward to more episodes!!
