It's not always process, and there's no marketing advice, it's better than that!
Sarah Werner is producing an amazing podcast. She has a bit of a midwest 'PBS' delivery style, but a little less polished and a lot more earnest (In a good way, I promise). The 'Write Now Podcast' is about how to get to the page, how to keep writing, how to say 'no' to so many of the things that keep you from writing. In ways, this podcast is a confessional: 'Yes, you need to write. Yes, I know how you distract yourself, I do it too." When I need a podcast to get me in front of my computer and pulling the creative teeth to get something, anything, on the page - this is the podcast I pull up. It's not because it's 'rah-rah, you rock!' - let's face it, there's enough of that out there already. It's not a marketing podcast about how to navigate the business of indie publishing, because, let's face it, there are PLENTY of those out there already too. It's not exactly a process podcast, and although there are far too few of those (shout out to Dead Robot Society!), it's something far more important. This is for writers who know that they're writers but have such a hard time admitting it aloud. Sarah's right there with you because she's going through it too.Read full review »

The best part is the tone of Sarah's voice throughout the episodes, it is calm and relaxed and helps the whole thing flow. I have...Read full review »

Every writer needs a tribe: I've been looking to find a group of writers or a mentor or SOMETHING, anything to help me along this road, to not feel so alone as a writer. This podcast is it!Read full review »
