“What a great podcast! I found this while trying to consume more things X-Men related and it was a gem of a find! The original animated cartoon propelled me into the X-men world back in the 90s and I became an avid follower of the comics! This podcast has convinced me to go back and rewatch the original animated series before diving into a rewatch of ‘97! Up until the last episode, I agreed with like 90 percent of the insights from all of you (the three of you have great banter with one another) but the final power rankings of ‘97 left me scratching my head. I think you all should have listened to Mary a bit more on your placement of Beast in the rankings and the fact that he fell higher than Storm, Magneto and Rogue, I was shocked!! I’m a huge Beast fan but in the same way that you can’t fault the characters from the way they are written, everyone’s love for Beast (even though he did do that really cool slap with the sentinel hand) I think clouded the judgement on him. Like Mary said, he didn’t do anything!! Haha, other than that, nearly perfect work from you all, looking forward to listening week after week!!”
