Whilst journalling isn’t a tool that you would necessarily wish to use in the coaching room, it can still be a useful concept to introduce to your coachees. Well, Helen thinks so anyway. Tom isn’t entirely convinced, but has his own ideas around when journalling might be useful.
In this episode Helen shares some reflections on journaling and also describes her own experience of keeping a journal. She also introduces a journalling method that she would happily invite her coachees to try out.
While not entirely on board with the idea of regular journalling, Tom shares some insights into an alternative form of expressive writing that he has used with some success. As you will hear, we don’t always entirely agree on the topics we discuss, and think it would be rather strange if we did. We know that our differences make life in general, and our podcast conversations in particular, a little more interesting. Hopefully, our differences of opinion will generate some new thinking on your part too, as you explore coaching topics for yourself and settle on your own views.
