Great insight and commentary on a little known genre

I’ve really been enjoying this podcast..these guys are a little younger than me and have a slightly different point of reference, but it’s good to hear the balance of true love for this music along with commentary on what it all means now in the context of our society. Great stuff!

Too much soy

These guys have good insights on the music, however because of their anti-Christian and far-left world views it can make their opinions on the music’s message essentially irrelevant. Just for context, they felt the need to use the word “problematic” like 20 times when describing Ghoti Hook. They mention that they have both had to go to therapy (even to this day) just because someone told them there was a such thing as right/wrong; not realizing that they have essentially exchanged one religion for another.

Great show

I really enjoy listening to this show. Great commentary on music, lyrics, presentation, and history of xtian bands from the 1990s. Like the hosts, I was obsessed with this stuff as a kid but view it thru a bit of a different lens these days. They also unearthed in my memory an old interview with a band in which the members talked about how they’re staunch Calvinists. Lol. Yikes. Anyway, great content for those of us in that niche!
