“I was frustrated that the episode on Broadway failed to discuss the contributions of Jewish and gay artists. It was great to have the lens of black artists’ contributions magnified, but the nuance window would have done well to acknowledge and analyse how the contributions of other marginalised voices is out of proportion in the form of the Broadway Musical. The Yiddish Theatre, Klezmer and Camp are all significant elements that went unmentioned.”
