Youth Rising is made by young people from all over England speaking about youth driven stories. In our sixth episode we lift the lid on Knife Crime. Amani Simpson, social entrepreneur and founder of AVIARD Inspires shares his story. Amani was set upon by a gang of 20 people and stabbed 7 times after intervening in a burglary in 2011, he was stabbed in the chest, arms and legs. Now he’s a motivational speaker and has made a short film about his attack called ‘Amani’. In our second story, reporter Tapiwa talks to Shanea, who is a youth campaigner and activist doing amazing things in her community, she is the founder of the Your Life More Life, a project that's determined to make Newham a safer place.
