Mixed feelings
I have listened to lots of Zoe podcasts, as I love science and nutrition. The 30 plants episode with Hugh fearnley-W was interesting to me. Hugh was wonderful! However, just near the end, when they were tasting Hugh’s homegrown tomatoes, the slagging off about tomatoes in poly tunnels from Tim just annoyed me. The panel had suggested earlier that they didn’t want people to miss out on a range of veg if their budget was limited. Surely this episode was supposed to support normal people to increase the diversity of veg in their diets. Instead it just alienates the normal person. Not everyone can stay at home and grow their own tomatoes. I know this doesn’t seem like a budget issue but if you have to work to make ends meet, growing tomatoes may not be realistic for all. Please please consider whether the information you provide is compassionate to the every day person. If you really want to spread the word, the word may need to come across less arrogant. Really disappointed. I think getting into the real world once in a while would be great rather than staying in your ivory tower.

Can’t wait to listen to this and follow the science. I gave up nightshade vegetables and within 2 weeks all the symptoms of chronic fatigue, plus muscle and joint pain, plus digestive upset disappeared. Would be good not to be restricted.
