This is a book that probably tries to do too much - but its still a short, often fun read. Besides, it's hard to hate a book that gets back to some good old humans vs aliens space war action and tries its best to bring some important themes along for the ride.

The winner of both the Nebula and the Hugo award in 2010, this is an extraordinarily unique book that will absolutely make you think! It's dark, brutal, and full of deeply complex people, all of whom are trying to get a piece of the pie and don't particularly care about who gets hurt along the way.
