Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a three-year, $186 million contract deal. Will the Lakers be sorry about their decision?
Description
Anthony Davis has agreed to a five-year deal extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, which includes the highest per-season average salary in NBA history.
Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul said Friday that Davis and the Lakers have reached an agreement on a three-year, $186 million deal extension. The Lakers and Davis reached an agreement, according to ESPN.
The contract becomes the wealthiest yearly agreement in league history, with an average value of $62 million each season, exceeding the average of $60.8 million per season that Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown received last month as part of his five-year supermax deal for up to $304 million.
