Kandace is a tattoo artist and tarot reader from my hometown of Atlanta Georgia, and she recently just reached her 10 year anniversary as a professional in her field! To celebrate, I invited Kandace onto the cast to discuss the magical history of tattooing and the process of spirit guided image magic she brings into her art. What can the history of tattooing teach us about image magic as medicine? How can we brainstorm ourselves into a good business practice while maintaining spiritual integrity in the wake of late stage capitalism? What lessons can we learn from our animal brother and sisters? What can we learn about the complexities of colonialism by studying the spiritual significance of ritual scarification in places like Benin?
