“I am a big fan of Taylor and I genuinely enjoy this podcast. My one issue is that I really wish they would bring on someone of color to address some of the related controversies with Taylor and race. This involves Matty and the usage of Ice Spice but even in older conversations about her reaction to Nicki and awards. There’s also something to be said for how often her activism does not go further than herself and it’s magnified much larger by her fan base. To ignore the white feminism at play with Taylor and her brand really ignores part of the pop structure around her. I’m not sure how you can have an in-depth look at her just bypassing that as they tend to do. As a black fan of Taylor it is absolutely something I think about.”
