An insistent wind sweeps across the basin, pushing billows of brilliant white sand toward the distant hills. It swirls like snow, occasionally obscuring the view and creating shadows that leap and whirl like a kaleidoscope. The sound is constant, advancing and retreating but never ceasing. The size and shape of the drifts will alter with the changing winds, moving back and forth across the valley but eternally contained within.
