Fighting back tears
It makes me so sad that our culture is so obsessed with the appearance of results that we will lock up innocent people and destroy their lives because it’s easier than doing the work. I can only imagine how many people are sitting in jail with similar stories ... I know there are plenty of public servants and lawyers who are doing a great job. But there needs to be consequences for the ones who aren’t.
