Very interesting insight into the history immediately following the Civil War. The production values were top notch, and the insights for the various characters and the motivations etc. were excellent. The only criticisms I have are that the music can become overbearing sometimes; and also in their effort to be realistic they really overdid Stanton’s illness symptoms. It was just really difficult to listen to this guy coughing all the time. We get it.
