Film synopsis: After the death of the family patriarch, a mother and daughter's precarious existence is ripped apart. They must find strength in each other to survive the malevolent forces that threaten to engulf them. Zarrar Kahn is an award-winning Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker. Born in Karachi, and currently based out of Toronto, Kahn is committed to telling stories that amplify historically marginalized communities. Ramesha Nawal is a theater and film actress based in Karachi. She started her acting career from musical theater in 2021. Her debut screen appearance is her leading role in 'In Flames' which premiered at the Directors' fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival. Bakhtawar Mazhar, is a trained theater practitioner, film actress, poet, acting teacher, and an aspiring writer. She played one of the co leads in Zarrar Kahn’s film ‘In Flames’ which had its world premiere at the prestigious 76th Cannes Festival (2023) and it’s North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023 where she was also part of Fawzia Mirza’s film The Queen of My Dreams.
