“The 1UP team offers up-to-date and comprehensive information on the gaming industry during each show, but they lack the charm found on the competing Gamespot podcast. I find some of the regular cast try too hard to be edgy and controversial, when they actually come across as simply whiny and grating. There is also a disconcerting level of self-promotion evident as they continuously attempt to convince listeners how much earlier they comment on industry trends than others.”
