“The Bachelor/Bachelorette is a problematic fave. I enjoy sequins, drama and rosè-fueled judgement so this show is a natural choice, however the sometimes hive-inducing lack of racial awareness makes me itch. The clueless bachelor nation podcast commentators don’t help - Enter, Two Black Girls, One Rose. This show is like a hug from the ancestors. Listening to Justine and Natasha crown “Beckys of the week”, escape to Wakanda and once in a while decide that the often clueless leads are “aight” is gloriously refreshing. Thank you ladies for being the pretend friends that I need to truly enjoy the absurdity of my favorite guilty pleasure. WAKANDA forever!!”
