“Hey John! Love the pod - nothing like an insider’s perspective on the football world. So my question for you concerns the scouting department. Do teams do any sort of autopsies and dissect their previous drafts? For instance, if a franchise passed on a prospect only to see him become a perennial Pro Bowler, do they go back and conduct an analysis to determine how they can better parse the “not-so-obvious” talent from the rest of the pack? And if they do, what metrics (if any) do they usually collect?”
