“Good idea! Cuts through the noise to focus on a few key issues. Very happy that IE Is beginning to enter the podcast world- India really needs this. I’d recommend this podcast for anyone attempting to cut through the sensationalist news noise and get down to understanding the nuances of diff issues!! Also look forward to more such podcasts.
Neha Mathews has a good, amiable voice. Shashant Bhargav would sound better if he sounded a little less militant and serious! Perhaps check out how Michael Barbaro sounds on the NYT Daily podcast. Sometimes, I think the hosts can ask more probing follow up questions. As in sometimes Neha has asked a question, and the interviewee says this is obviously because of X, and it’s not clear to the audience why this is only because of X and not Y (I’m sure there’s a reason for why the interviewee said that so it’s good to know exactly why rather than leave us wondering why!). I think the sound quality could be a bit better too! It should always be good (interviews against noise make the brain hurt) —in a podcast which is completely sound based! Understand if there are constraints esp since it’s a new podcast - but I hope India strives for NYT level standards!! Please please listen to Michael Barbaro on NYT Daily podcast ideal to strive for! Also, wondering if all the 3 issues mentioned can be then followed up and read about in IE paper - i couldn’t find anything in IE paper on one of the key issues discussed once, maybe I missed it but that would be ideal- if you can always read about the issue mentioned on this podcast! In any case, great going and keep it up!”
