Description
Township economy helps to boost job creation and drive entrepreneurship within the townships. The enterprises established are operated by township entrepreneurs to meet primarily the needs of township communities. These entrepreneurs are bridging the gap of unemployment and skills development. The Township Entrepreneurship Awards are an initiative by the Gauteng Department of Economic Development to celebrate, recognise and reward entrepreneurial talent in the townships, whilst supporting the provinces’ goal and commitment to revitalising the township economy. The guests in studio are GEP Acting CEO – Ms Leah Manenzhe, 2018 Judge – Dr Jabulile Msimango Galawe, 2018 Nominee – Wandile Ndaba, as well as Ms Puleng Molebatsi.
