adictive podcast
Christmas 2019 , one week off from work:). Nice to start a forgotten project of a temperature display thing for Data Centers. After a crash course in C, C++ to program my new bought Arduino I got stuck in making a led holder. A friend of mine gave me the email address of a local guy studying at the University of Twente and who helped him out with printing a 3d prototype for his Tolad ( tolad-one.com/us/ ) project. Great idea but to ask this guy the right questions I started googling on 3d Printers. The same day I bought at a local web shop an Ender 3d printer. The next evening at 23:00 I was printing my name in PLA. Incredible feeling. Startup Creo Parametric. 10 minutes later a 3d model. Install Cura within 5 minutes. 15 minutes later a gcode written to the micro SD card. Plug in the Ender. And now???? How to level the bed... Use a paper but how. Found a YouTube and got it to work. 20 minutes later my first print. I had a lot of things to learn but how. I looked at Spotify and found this podcast. Since then I printed a couple of kilos PLA and started listening in the meanwhile to your podcast. It has been a great journey. I started with all your Ender related stuff. But to learn more I continued with episode one. Between Xmas and today I listened to over 250 of your casts and I am now slowing down so I got something left to listen to if I want to relax. Whitney I love your analysis always spot on. Being educated in physics and chemistry I always try to understand why things are as they are, you never over play your hand, you know what you are talking about, Perfect! My hobbies are caving, climbing and fiddling with topographical maps for zwerfweekend.nl/ , so I feel acquainted. In 1992 I had to shorten our 4 day Yosemite hike I was enjoying with my partner due to a bear who had stolen our food hanging In a tree. The USA is not Europe! Andy I love your engagement, you are so predictable and yet so disarming. Your knowledge is vast and you can be so enthusiastic, I love it. I would like both of you to invite to spend a weekend in Belgium in the Ardennes to go climbing, caving (if you dare) and drinking Belgium beer at a campfire and discussing why the whole world would have to get involved in 3d Printing. Thanks for three months of wonderful listening experience.

Lots of information in a very enjoyable format. Broad scope of interest. Suited both for beginners as well as for the more advanced 3D printer.
