“As a big fan of rugby league and podcast I stick with this show, but it frustrates me. I simply do not understand why the BBC’s rugby league podcast consists of the same people lamenting commercial failings of the sport on a weekly basis. Rugby league is an amazing sport and I would love this podcast to focus on that: to be about the matches, the players, the key plays, the race for the top five, the relegation battle, who is thriving in the championship, who will win the cup etc. I love occasionally hearing Dave Woods and guests talk about these things and hope one day that is what this podcast is about. I would strongly recommend the team listen to the nrl Sunday sessions podcast to hear what a simple structure focused on the great game with passionate people at its heart can sound like.”
