“Agree with the other recent reviewers, it was an excellent listen, however I think having the ‘super fans’ in place of the expert pundits in some episodes has somewhat diminished the quality of the programme in my opinion.
The fans are the bedrock of the programme, but they don’t have the knowledge that the experts e.g. Tim, Mark, Mina et al do.
I’d keep the super fans as regular callers, but have the experts e.g. Tim and Mark as the main pundits to impart their knowledge and answer the super fans’ questions.
The super fans (understandably) don’t have the insight that the regional experts do.
Really want the show to revert to its nerdy self! Then it’ll be back up to 5 stars.”
