Beyond the immediate risks, there is something he talks and posts about almost every week: the combination of AI and social polarization that brings enormous pressure to the truth, signaling the possibility that, soon, the distinction between what is true and what is not may become increasingly difficult to discern. Ricardo also highlights a surprising omission in the report: the absence of the pandemic among the risks discussed. Despite being at the top of the global agenda in recent years, it is now not even among the top ten. This fact, unfortunately, shows the human tendency towards short-term memory.
