In June 1912, in the small town of Villisca, Iowa, eight people were brutally murdered in their beds with an axe. The killer was never caught, and the case remains unsolved to this day.  The victims included six children and two adults, all from the Moore family and the Stillinger girls. The crime scene was discovered the next morning by a neighbor.  Despite extensive investigations and several suspects over the years, the Villisca Axe Murders continue to haunt the town and those who have studied the case. Many believe the house where the murders took place is haunted, with reports of paranormal activity and strange occurrences.  Some visitors claim to have seen apparitions or heard unexplained noises in the house.
