Disappointing
I recently started listening to your Podcast as a huge fan of films and currently studying them at university I was compelled by the idea of reviewing such a huge list over such a long time. I was however quickly and swiftly disappointed. Not only do you not talk about the actual film you are supposed to be reviewing enough but you have very little information and no new fresh takes to add. During your “review” of SAW you remarked that it was an overall bad film and a not-so-good franchise and then said how amazing The Fast and The Furious franchise was. The SAW franchise is far more important to the horror genre than what TFATF is to the action genre. SAW started a revolution in horror filmmaking, all TFATF did was rip of the plot of Point Break (1991) but exchange Keanu Reeves for Paul Walker, Patrick Swayze for Vin Diesel and Surfing for Cars, give me Point Break any day. SAW was recently voted (on an IMDb poll) the third best horror film since 2000 a pretty solid accolade (as far as public opinion goes). You also remarked that Tokyo Drift should be in the updated top 500 film list. Good lord!!! If you honestly believe this I truly question your taste in films and your knowledge of the history of cinema and therefore your credentials to undertake such an ambitious task such as this.

I’ve only become a regular listener during the quarantine bonus times, but they truly make me laugh and now I’m looking forward to when they get back into the 500 movies. 💛

Despite Empire Magazine's crap list, Hector & Keller's radiant friendship and quemistry makes the show such a great time. I laugh every episode and can't get enough of their pure love for cinema. None of that cynical, nit-picky plot analysis that has plagued the internet, just a...Read full review »

As a person who likes movies, but doesn't bathe in the blood of them every morning, this is a really fun, funny take on some of the "best" out there. It's seriously helping me figure out which "classics" to actually watch!Read full review »
