“Having started my buisness because I was laid off was not how I saw myself starting my business. A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of the Six Figure home studio Podcast, and I begain to binge listen to it, no matter if you are a music engineer or Post engineer like I am.
I have been a audio engineer for the last 18 years, but I have always worked for people. The podcast has taught me how to run my business and how to future proof it for all sorts of issues that I did not even think about. Now I am about to make a move to the USA, and the last to podcasts (ep 25 and 26) Just happen to be speaking right into my current plans. The guys have been a major influence on the running of my studio and are a constant source of knowledge and motivation. All the enigneers in the South african Sound Engineers group I run, are going to be pointed in the direction of this podcast.
