“Really enjoying this nostalgic tribute to my teenage years. I think I am very close to the same age as Rob although we have very different music experiences. I love all the research put into every song, and I’m even loving the episodes of songs I’m not familiar with or don’t like. I love Rob’s personality and the way he speaks and his sense of humour. My ONLY complaint is that during the episode of my favourite band and one of my most favourite songs, R.E.M.’s Nightswimming, the guest he had on was definitely not a fan of R.E.M. and spoke about all the reasons he didn’t like the song. I think that was the only time that a guest speaker was not an expert or a fan of the musician(s) or the song. Since it was the one episode that I was really looking forward to listening to, it was so disappointing to not hear special insights about the band or song. Otherwise, I absolutely love this podcast! I’m so happy that it has been extended to 90 songs, as it should be.

“This isn’t a chatty, conversational podcast like so many, which makes it stand out for me. I love Rob’s long, lyrical meanderings that eventually arrive at the song/artist of the episode.
