7th Son rocks
I love 7th Son. I really like books 2 and 3 better than book 1 to be honest, but much like the first Harry Potter book you have to lead with your weakest story first sometimes. And when the "weakest story" involves gun fights and exploding buildings, I think you're actually doing pretty good. 7th Son is a pretty darn good thriller novel about a group of 7 guys who learn that they are all clones. They all share the name John Michael Smith, though luckily all of them have different versions of the name, ranging from John and Johnathan to Mike and Killroy 2.0. The man that they were cloned from, John Alpha, is suspected of being the perpetrator of the attack that killed the President of the US just a few days before the story starts. The President was killed by a 4 year old boy, stabbed in the neck I believe. The clones start to decipher a series of clues that Alpha has left behind, leading them on a chase around the country to try and stop him before he can carry out more attacks. Like I said, the first book is a little weak, but only because its focus is to introduce and explain all the science of the story. The science of the clones and the history of the 7th Son project is really interesting actually and still holds the attention of the listener, but I've now reached Book 3 and there's so much excitement and tension and so many explosions that I can't help but think that the science part of the books is the slow part, but it's not written in a slow manner, it's still really well written and very interesting. I'm eagerly awaiting the paperback release of 7th Son and will probably be picking it up when it comes out.

More reviews of 7th Son
Too many cliche characters with little development, too much meaningless dialogue. I wanted them all dead after Book 1. I'm not trying to bait the souless clones out there and I really like the free podiobook idea but this didn't do it for me.

I am a podiobook addict and have found this one as one my favorites. The author is a good reader and keeps the story entertaining. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone. Enjoy!
