“Should I Stay Or Should I Kill Bruno?”
Fantasy? Check. Warhammer-y Goodness? Check. Laughter followed immediately by scratching my head due to the pure moronic goodness? Double Check! After starting this wonderful podcast and running though 129 hours of it in two months, I finally have decided to sit down and share my musings of this sweet puppy. What can only be described to the uninitiated as a story about a powerful evil working from the shadows, plotting to destroy the Old World as we know it and our best hope is a group so bad they might be just what we need to save the day…but who am I kidding? Its more like if the Avengers had a backup team who knew a guy who owns and operates a small chain of falafel places who happens to sponsor a kids’ baseball team who has a few kids on the bench who didn’t have anything going on this weekend so they could go and help. Yeah…more like that. Comprised of an inbred wizard, Lucky, who is a mix of “fake it till you make it” and that one kid on the school bus who’s dad could take on all of your dads, Bruno, an off-broadway one-man-show depicting all the personalities of The Three Stooges at once, Mina, a soldier/witch hunter who can be summarized as the “this one time, at Uncle Chet camp…” and then she stabs, Carl, the emotionally abused by his fat best friend conscious of the group, and now Mammoth, if Tarzan was less raised by apes and more killed everything to show he is the king of the jungle. Every week you will have the chance to listen in and wonder when they all will realize the key was not in fact friendship but rather killing Bruno who was the big bad guy the entire time. This rag tag bunch of hooligans team up and go on adventures the likes of which have been wrangled by Dan, the once great GM, whose sanity can be heard slowly slipping every week over the course of 129 hours of herding this group of deranged cats together. So pretty much it can all be summarized as an okay commercial in the form of a podcast for “the Elite Eight Showdown.” *Post Script: not for those who aren’t into soft-core duck stuff…

I was hesitant at first because I’ve never played Warhammer before, but this podcast makes it easy to understand the rules and follow along. It’s obvious the cast has fun playing together, both in their banter and the way they play off of each other in character. A good blend of adventure and...Read full review »

Currently on episode 43 and loving every episode, there’s not a single dud one thus far. My work involves long hours and lots of driving and nothing makes the time go quicker than listening to this hilarious podcast! I’ve never seen, heard or played with a more antagonistic GM than Dan and it...Read full review »
