“I’m always amazed at the amount of research Andrew puts into each episode. I’m equally amazed at how seamlessly he weaves that research into a coherent, compelling story.
I thought I knew rock history, but I have learned so much from this podcast. Whether the episode is about a legend (Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry) or someone you’ve barley heard of (the Gamblers, the Bobettes), Andrew lays out a well-told tale that is always put in the proper historical context.
As an American, I have been especially interested in the episodes about pre-Beatles British acts like Vince Taylor, Tommy Steele and Gene Vincent. That era was a real blind spot for me.
