A must-listen for rock history buffs
I’m always amazed at the amount of research Andrew puts into each episode. I’m equally amazed at how seamlessly he weaves that research into a coherent, compelling story. I thought I knew rock history, but I have learned so much from this podcast. Whether the episode is about a legend (Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry) or someone you’ve barley heard of (the Gamblers, the Bobettes), Andrew lays out a well-told tale that is always put in the proper historical context. As an American, I have been especially interested in the episodes about pre-Beatles British acts like Vince Taylor, Tommy Steele and Gene Vincent. That era was a real blind spot for me. Hilghly recommended.

I stumbled on this podcast randomly and I’m completely hooked. I’m fascinated by music and music history and this podcast stretches that itch, as well as giving me new discoveries to find out more about. Can’t wait to listen into the 60s and 70s eras.
