Evocative and fascinating
Each episode uses a single museum artefact as the focus of a portrait of a part of human history from the first flint axes to the present day. Guest experts talk about the item and its context. The series moves all over the world. The series moves in rough chronological order, so best listened to in sequence. Always intriguing and clearly presented for a general audience. You WILL learn things you didn’t know about the world. Originally a BBC radio production, the production values are very high with exceptional guests such as David Attenborough.
