“I just wanna say that Juju is amazing, words are not enough to describe how amazing the work that she does is. She has helped me connect spiritually, helped me fight my depression and anxiety and overall I have hope for the first time in a long time. I found her out through my boyfriend who also loves this podcast. We literally have changed how we view things, folks, each other, spirituality, and the constant fight against patriarchy and white supremacy. I honestly can’t describe how this podcast makes me feel. For real tho, she’s given me hope where I thought I never could. I realize that I do have options and I do have agency over my own body and life. I hope our ancestors connect us and I run into her in Chicago where I reside as well (Southside 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏼)
Her conversations around trauma are very comforting and understanding. There isn’t a denial of, “ohh your trauma isn’t as bad so it isn’t really trauma”. And she offers real ways to heal from that trauma and grow.
I also just love how the whole podcast is not centered around patriarchal, white supremacist framework creating a genuine space for real dialogue for people who are non-binary in various aspects of identity. She gives voice to folks who are usually shunned, silenced, and thrown to the margins.
All in all, my favorite podcast. I’ve learned so much and have grown in just a couple of weeks of listening to her podcasts, setting up my altar and doing rituals around healing, lunar phases and simply speaking to my ancestors who I know have been waiting for me to connect to that spirituality. Love, love, love this podcast and Juju. I wish her nothing but the best and hope she too continues her own work to heal from her traumas.
If I could write an essay on why this podcast is good, I would. But since it’s just a review ima try to keep it as short as i could lol.
Keep it up and I can’t wait to listen to new podcasts as they come out.”
