123. ALTM REWIND: Suzanne Somers
Description
This week we're doing an ALTM REWIND of my episode with Suzanne Somers (RIP). ---
This week Jamie chats with tv icon Suzanne Somers! No intro necessary but Suzanne starred as Chrissy Snow on the hit show “Three’s Company,” invented the infamous Thighmaster (Jamie owned one in college and loved it), and then went on to star in one of the best TGIF shows on ABC (“Step by Step”)…she has also written 27 books AND has a beauty, lifestyle and wellness brand.
They discuss whether or not “Three’s Company” would work as a TV show today, how Suzanne played the Chrissy Snow character, her best advice for single women as someone who has been happily married for 50+ years, her past with her alcoholic father and the path she’s taken to forgiveness. They then get into her super smart and insightful take on hormones, hormone supplements and how no one has cared about women’s health until recently. (#Truth)
They also discuss the FULL story of her firing from “Three’s Company.” It all started when she asked for equal pay to her male co-star, John Ritter.
