Description
The New York Mets built a comfortable lead in the NL East. It's a good thing they did, because they have hit the skids a bit on the their current California trip, going 3-4 to date, while the Braves and Phillies have each won seven in a row. The Mets' lead is "down" to seven games, and the injuries are piling up. Though both avoided tthe IL for now, Pete Alonso and Starling Marte are day-to-day. Chris Bassitt is going through tough times. Never a dull (or easy) moment in Metsville.
